Business Sectors

There are some sectors in which the team at Worcester Black has little or no experience, but not that many!

In any event, many of the skills we have all developed are transferable, and, if we need to draw on specific knowledge, we can usually find it.

That said, we are particularly strong in:

ICT
Mobile Telecommunications
Renewable Energy
Consumer Durables
FMCG
Specialist Print & Graphics
Creative Industries
Logistics & Distribution

ICT

The appropriate and timely implementation of innovative Information Technology continues to provide businesses with opportunities either to create new revenue streams or to improve operational efficiency. New revenue comes thru new services more accurately tailored to customer requirements and thru the improvement of existing services. Operational efficiency comes thru operational cost reduction and better understanding of who your best customers are.

At Worcester Black we have experience of implementing technology in all parts of the enterprise, from desktop environment thru data management to eCommerce and advanced applications for customer service and billing, supply chain management and logistics.

We can help you sift thru the product literature and PowerPoint to work out what will really help your business and how to implement it without diverting resources unnecessarily or slowing the pace of your business.

Mobile Telecommunications

In a single generation this market has risen to become an engine for social change across the globe. The ever-expanding use of the mobile device has put great strain on the ICT industry to support the supply of high-quality real-time voice and data services on a massive scale. This pressure has been an agent driving ICT innovation.

The pace of expansion in this market does not change as the operators look for new services to offer their global customer base. They look to the ICT industry to support these services and this dependency has created a high degree of convergence between the two industries.

At Worcester Black we have experience of helping operators to identify and design new services, and of helping them to collaborate with the ICT community in the deployment of systems to support those services.

If you work for an operator who is considering the launch of new services and would like benefit from our experience, we would love to hear from you. Or, if you have a new service to offer an operator but are unsure how to present it effectively, we would be very happy to work with you.

Renewable Energy

There is perhaps no area of technological advancement that is under more scrutiny than renewable energy systems. In reality, the business case for the deployment of solar, wind and hydroelectric power systems is not universal and requires cost-benefit analysis taking into account local meteorological, topological, geographical and commercial conditions.

At Worcester Black we have practical experience of the challenges and rewards of deploying renewable power systems. If this is an area that you feel your business needs to address we would be happy to share our experience with you and help you work out how to integrate the use of renewables into your power planning process.

Creative Industries

Both from a client side perspective, and from the agency side, we can bring into play a wide understanding of how this industry sector works.

We’ve worked with or for, some of us for more years than we might care to admit to, advertising agencies (‘full-service’! to ‘boutique), designers, video production, public relations (lots of public relations firms), events, photographers etc.

We understand the pressures that are faced, by any small business, but especially those operating in this sector.

Worcester Black, can advise on sales development, structure, and on the marketing and ‘promotion’ of firms whose job it is, to promote others

Logistics, Distribution & Operations

Worcester Black can provide independent logistics & distribution consultancy through our in-house resource and through appropriate industry links, to bring the appropriate experienced team of senior professionals who have strategic and tactical experience within both Supply Chain and Corporate organisations.

We can offer a wide range of skills across the Supply Chain sectors such as retail, consumer and industrial goods, manufacturing and both 3 PL and 4 PL organisations.

We have the expertise, creativity and innovation to both support and enhance client’s performance and to deliver the key business objectives, create competitive advantage and to provide clients with practical, realistic and “deliverable” advice and support.
